Hey lady. My knowledge of autism is minimal & I hope that you won't mind me asking questions from time to time.
When I read the post on FB last night I was in shock because I didn't know. A question came to mind and if you feel comfortable sharing, could you do a post about how he was diagnosed? Were there any signs or clues? If it's not something you feel comfortable discussing, then I understand. -Steph
Hey Steph. Believe me, mine was/is the same sometimes. It wasnt like we were trying to hide Chance's diagnosis, I guess we were so wrapped up in it, you just dont bring it up and you dont want folks to feel uncomfortable. We noticed he wasnt really talking as much as a "normal" kid would when he was close to 2 years old. The pediatrician suggested we get him tested. So we did. We went through a series of test and he was diagnosised as high functioning autism.
